The Procurement Bill legislative train has reached its destination
After a long gestation period the UK Procurement Bill has finally reached the end of its legislative process. The Bill has now received Royal Assent, the final hurdle to become law, in this case the Procurement Act. It did so in the proverbial nick of time bearing in mind that the process needed to be concluded before the end of the current session in the next few weeks.
Nonetheless, this is just the beginning since there will be plenty of secondary legislation to put some meat into those bones as well as guidance.
